Combining his knowledge of information technology with impressive entrepreneurial skills, Jacques Tessier, in 1977, became one of the co-founders of CIS Group and a major shareholder.

He became CEO in 1981 and two years later introduced the first version of the distribution software for Direct-Store-Delivery routes (DSD) now named Route Companion.  CIS Group then became the first Canadian company to develop a software program for handheld computers.

In 1984, Jacques started his involvement in developing software solutions to optimize operations in people transportation and road transportation industries.

Jacques was subsequently appointed President and CEO of CIS Group in 1990. Under his direction, the company has grown into one of the most important information technology firms in North America, growing from three employees in 1977 to more than fifty in the 1990s. During this period, Jacques has earned numerous awards for his involvement in the business community and the success of his company, including the National Bank of Canada SME Service Enterprise Zenith Award.

In 2001, he integrated the Sales Force Automation (SFA) solution into the Companion ® Suite, consequently expanding CIS Group’s consumer base throughout the North American market. In 2004 and 2005 Jacques concluded business contracts with many major Canadian corporations such as Saputo Inc., Loto-Québec, Parmalat and Sun Media, a division of Quebecor.

In 2007, Jacques was directly involved in the merger with Omniciel International, a main competitor of CIS. Later he also coordinated a business agreement with Boston Technologies, positioning CIS as a leader in mobile software solutions. In the same year, Jacques personally oversaw the creation of a strategic alliance with Grupo Asesor in Costa Rica, creating CIS Group, Latin American Division.

Bernard Casavant

Owner of Groupe Financier Casavant inc

Operations Director of a regional dairy company, of which he acquired all shares in 1976. Through exceptional growth and judicious acquisitions, his firm soon became the most important private dairy enterprise in Québec. After the sale of Laiterie Casavant in 1990, he founded the Groupe Financier Casavant, a venture capital private investment company with many million dollars under management, which has since been invested in approximately 15 enterprises. Greatly concerned by his region’s development, Bernard didn’t hesitate to participate in his community as President of several non-profit organizations such as Centraide, Pallia-vie, Hospital Foundations, etc. An experienced manager, he credits his success to his entrepreneurship and his capacity to bring people together to share common objectives. Over his last 35 years of leadership, Bernard has been directly or indirectly associated with almost 30 successful enterprises .

André Wolfe

André Wolfe joined CIS Group in 1985 and is currently Director of Research and Development. His responsibilities include the development of a coordinated approach to allow CIS to remain at the leading edge of information technology, and to always provide CIS customers with the best products on the market.

André brings more than 20 years of experience as an information technology professional, executive consultant, project manager, analyst and developer. He held various executive positions including technical services agreements and business development manager, planning and development director, and business unit coordinator. André received a B.A. in Business Administration from Université du Québec à Montréal.

Jasline Allain
JASLINE ALLAIN
Director of Administrative Services


Jasline Allain joined CIS Group in February 1979 during the launch of the automation project of Québec’s transportation carriers. She brought to CIS Group her extensive background in accounting and multidisciplinary competencies. Over the years as the CIS team evolved and grew, she became responsible for the enterprise's administrative services.

During these years of service to CIS Group, she was involved in the business community of the Greater Metropolitan Saint-Jérôme Region. In 1990, she was a member of the Board of Directors of the Regional Board of Trade, for which she served as President in 1992-1993 and received an honorable mention for her outstanding management of various regional activities.

For all her involvements in CIS Group, she is a member of the CIS Board of Directors and serves in the Top Management Team. Today, with more than 25 years of service to CIS Group, her management role is to ensure that the enterprise gains from the expected benefits and becomes more profitable over time.

Claude Beaulieu

Claude Beaulieu is President and the founder of Claude Beaulieu Sports since 1955. In 1967, he was also the founder of the Sports Experts banner which today counts more than 55 stores throughout Québec, Ontario, Alberta and the Maritimes.

He has worked since 1975 as administrator of the buying group of Intersports International which counts more than 4000 stores spread throughout 16 countries. He was also President of this organization in 1988.

From 1992 to 2002, he served as principal administrator of Groupe Forzani.

Claude has been a member of CIS Group Board of Directors since 2000.

Always very much involved in his region, he conducts numerous important financial campaigns among which are Centraide Laurentides, the foundation of Saint-Jérôme Hôtel-Dieu hospital and Pallia-Vie.

Chief Executive Officer of Groupe Financier Casavant inc

In 1984 he was appointed Controller and chartered accountant of the international firm Price Waterhouse. 
He later became Director of Corporate Financing, commercial and large enterprise funding, at the National Bank of Canada.

In 1990 he joined as Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer of Groupe Financier Casavant, a new  capital private investment company of many millions of dollars, with the mandate to successfully invest in enterprises, providing them with the sufficient funding to substantially accelerate their growth.  Claude is a member of the Order of Chartered Accountants of Canada and currently serves as a member on various Boards of Directors.

Jean-Claude Chartrand

President and Chief Executive Officer of Equifax Canada until his retirement, he was simultaneously Executive Vice-President of Equifax Inc., Atlanta and head of international activities of the parent company until 1996. He is also past President of the following associations : Associated Credit Bureaus of Canada, l’Association des Directeurs de crédit de Montréal (association of Montréal’s credit professionals) and International Credit Association of St-Louis, MO.

Administrator and manager of numerous successful companies such as Canadian Premier Life Insurance Co., Legacy Insurance Inc. as well as CIS Group, Jean-Claude is also Chairman of the Board of Techni-Seal Canada.

In addition, Jean-Claude is Vice-President of the Board of Directors of Pallia-Vie, a non-profit organization assisting people with cancer in the Laurentians region.

Living in Boucherville, he has always been involved in various community, sports and business activities everywhere in Québec. He was a founding member and President of the Jeune Chambre de Commerce de Boucherville (young business people of Boucherville) and first Vice-President of the Jeune Chambre de Commerce de Montréal.

Having more than 15 years of experience with CIS Group, Joël carried out numerous major projects with many clients in the distribution industry across Canada and the United States, to provide their sales personnel with the technology to optimize their performance.

His contribution to the success of several top computerization projects and implementation demonstrates his ability in project management involving many individuals.  He has great knowledge of the North American food distribution system and retail industries as well as expertise in the use of portable equipment including computers and printers for fleets of vehicles.

Joël received a B.A. in Computer Science from the University of Sherbrooke.

Francine Noël
FRANCINE NOËL

Francine Noël joined CIS Group in 1992 as systems analyst and later took over the management of the Development department.

After getting a bachelor's degree in Computer Science at Laval University, she started her career as programmer in a software development firm designing programs for invoicing, accounting and urban management. She quickly worked her way through the ranks as programmer analyst before assuming the manager and project director positions.

Thereafter, Francine acquired two years of experience in a payroll and human resources software development company as principal analyst.

During the last eleven years at CIS Group, Francine was responsible for the development of the accounting, road transportation and distribution software packages.

These tasks included needs analysis and solutions design to meet the specific requirements of the entire client base of CIS Group.

Éric Tessier

Marketing Director


Éric is responsible for creating the marketing strategies as well as of the PR and communications of the company.
He brings to CIS 10 years of experience in personnel management and customer support.

Prior to joining CIS, he was sales representative for MC food distributors and Director of customer service at the Blainvillier Golf Club and Le Mirage Golf Club.

Éric holds a professional studies diploma in Sales and Marketing, a professional specialization certificate in Sales Representation, a certificate in Marketing from HEC Business School and a certificate in Sales and Marketing from Laval University.
Vianney Turcotte
VIANNEY TURCOTTE
Vice President, Implementations


Vianney holds a Masters Degree in project management from the University of Quebec in Abitibi Témiscaminque. In 1977 he founded Turcotte Lamarche, a programming company that later became Logicon (Rouyn) Inc. 

For 15 years he directed Logicon, being directly involved in the development and commercialization of software solutions mainly targeting the mining industry. During this time, he was awarded various prizes recognizing his business achievements, including ‘Company of the Year’ and Mercuriades, from local and provincial Chambers of Commerce. Such expertise and know-how has enabled him to obtain a contract to oversee all technical support for IST Group’s financial and medical systems for the regions of Quebec and Ontario.

In 1995, he joined Calculus as director of implementation of software solutions designed for the management of laboratories in various hospitals.

In 1998 he joined in a business venture with Jan H. Lessard and founded Omniciel International. He assumed the position of Vice-President, Implementations and general director.

He has sat on several boards of directors, notably as vice-president of the chamber of commerce of Rouyn-Noranda, secretary of the professional training commission of Abitibi Témiscaminque and board member of  several mining companies in the Lyon Lake and Alta Vista regions.

Jan H Lessard
JAN H LESSARD

Well known in the business world, Jan H Lessard has shown an impressive resume. He started his career back in 1967 as a junior programmer with NCR Canada.

In 1972 he founded his own company, JHL Systems Services that later became Logicon. He directed Logicon for 12 years to become the largest independent software provider in province of Quebec.

After a brief semi-retirement period, he joined CISJ, mainly focused on data processing services, successfully helping them redirect their business strategy and efforts toward providing turn-key solutions. In 1995 he left CISJ and founded JHL Consultants which later became Omniciel International which became one of the major players in DSD software solutions. In February 2007, Omniciel merged with CIS Group. Quickly his professionalism, dedication and extensive experience made Jan a key figure within CIS Group.
Raul Alvarez
RAUL ALVAREZ

Raul started his professional career in Florida in the financial industry. In 1999, he graduated from Rollins College, a well-known private institution in Florida, with a Bachelor in Economics, Minor in Business. For a few years he worked for AIG, one of the largest insurance companies in the world. He did some consulting work in Latin America and later moved to Montreal to start a graduate program in marketing at McGill University. He worked for a couple of years doing marketing for the mortgage lending industry and graduated from McGill shortly thereafter. Raul speaks several languages; English, Spanish, French and Portuguese, and has gained strong business experience in various markets. Currently, Raul plans and coordinates all CIS marketing activities in North America. He is also the Marketing Director for the Latin American Division.  His education, personal and professional international experience are definitely a great asset to the company.

CYRILLE VAUCELLE
Account Manager


Cyrille is an Account Manager at CIS-Omniciel.  He began his career in France as a

Controller-Manager in the agri-food industry for a European leader of frozen products.  This solid learning experience allowed him to gain substantial knowledge about the food industry: production, distribution and sales.  He then turned toward international business development where his experiences lead him to Mexico and Canada.  As a result, he strengthened his skills in developing and maintaining long-term relationships with clients, especially during the past two years in mobile technology.  Cyrille studied in France, Denmark, South Africa and Canada.  He holds an MBA from l’Université Laval (Quebec, 2005), and a diploma in Business Engineering from the École Supérieure de Commerce et Technologie (France, 2001).
