Companion® Route configured in service mode is a mobile application that allows you to efficiently manage your field service operations. It was specially built for field technicians in sectors such as electricity, plumbing, general repair, maintenance, installation, pest control and more. The application offers the flexibility to adapt to industry-specific needs, adjusting to your workflow and not the other way around. Using a handheld device or a portable computer, Service Companion® provides field technicians with all the necessary information to efficiently carry out their daily activities.
Companion® Route operates in a bidirectional environment, synchronizing all information as often as needed with the back-end system. This application optimizes field service operations, giving management a higher level of visibility and control. SOME KEY FUNCTIONALITIES IN COMPANION® SERVICE
Companion® Office is a middleware application that is linked to the Companion® Route mobile users. This application is installed on a server in the office and it interfaces with the back-end application/ERP (for an architectural diagram, click on the Technical Specifications section.) This solution allows you to effectively manage your routes, mobile sales force, scheduling, mobile computers, reporting, messaging and more. If desired, master files such as pricing, customers and products can be maintained at the Companion® Office level.
Route Optimization Module
The Route Optimization module available with Companion® Route provides you with enhanced efficiency by allowing better route planning, execution and analysis. Elements such as territories, locations, service days, time windows, vehicles and other constraints are all considered in order to provide you with the best alternatives to execute your field operations.
GPS Tracking Module
CIS’ GPS capabilities give management higher levels of control, allowing them to evaluate routes taken, time spent, sequence of stops, idle time and more.
The EDI module caters to specific electronic data transfer needs through industry-specific EDI platforms. Some of the electronic documents managed are: purchase orders, invoices, advance shipping notices, order modifications/confirmations, payment advices, electronic catalogs and others.
