BERMUDEZ GROUP, THE LEADING BRANDED BAKED AND SNACK FOODS COMPANY IN THE CARIBBEAN, HAS CHOSEN CIS GROUP'S DIRECT STORE DELIVERY SOLUTION TO AUTOMATE ITS DISTRIBUTORS' ACTIVITIES

Montreal, Quebec, January 23, 2012─ Bermudez Group has chosen Route Companion^® from CIS Group to automate the company’s 300 delivery routes. DSD drivers will have all the necessary information to carry out their daily activities directly on mobile units, capturing signatures and printing all invoices and receipts at point of sale. CIS’ Direct Store Delivery solution – Route Companion^® – offers the flexibility to adapt to Bermudez Group’s specific business needs. The distributors will now be able to take orders according to the business modelwhich includes production dates, delivery dates, holidays, etc. The delivery personnel will also be able to capture and track lot management data at the truck loading and delivery stages. Those important changes in the company will allow Bermudez Group to save large amounts of paper, save archiving space, reduce clerical work and errors and, more importantly, optimize their routes while minimizing daily visit time.

Bermudez Group includes five sub-companies : Kiss Bakery, Holiday Snacks Limited, Bermudez Biscuit Company, Jamaica Biscuit Company and West India Biscuit Company, which will all have their own Office Companion^® installation. While being in constant communication with one another, they will all be connected to the main accounting system of the company. From Office Companion, the management team will be able to gather and analyse data obtained from the mobile workforce by using the report generator.

The Route Companion mobile application will run on Intermec’s CN70, paired with Intermec’s PW50 workboard for CN70. All data will flow in a bidirectional environment, transferring information processed on the road through wireless data services directly to Office Companion and to the back-end application.
