Autobus Laval acquires CIS Group’s specialized solution for people transportation
Saint-Jérôme, Québec, December 12, 2006
After a long selection process, Mr. Éric Tessier, marketing director at CIS Group, is delighted to announce that the carrier Autobus Laval of Beauport, in the Québec city area, has just acquired the package of complete and integrated solutions designed by CIS Group exclusively for the people transportation industry: the software Coach (Chartered and Circuits), Cargo (garage and preventive maintenance), CIS-Pay and CIS-Administration.
Principally, the acquisition aims to directly combine the planning and allocation of the school, urban and suburban circuits of the company with the drivers’ pay.
The solution offered by CIS Group was the only one that was able to integrate all operations of a people transportation company. Everything connects: from the chartered and school trips to the drivers’ pay and vehicle preventive maintenance. “The CIS Group solution was already being implemented in most of the Québec transportation companies, and the obvious choice for Autobus Laval was to rely upon them”, says Sylvain Lacroix, controller at Autobus Laval.
Integrated with the CIS Accounting and Pay modules, all the operations of Autobus Laval are automated: from estimated hours to actual hours to automatic updates of the pay and general ledger.
“This integration represents a significant savings of time and money while also giving Autobus Laval’s employees more ease in their work, due, among other things, to the exceedingly visual dispatching table from which they will benefit handsomely”, states Mr. Jacques Tessier, President and CEO of CIS Group.
